In Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance main character appears Raiden, protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. As in the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the new game Raiden appears as a cybernetic ninja. Said that the game tells the story of the transformation into a cyborg Raiden. But after sending the game into the hands of Platinum Games action game time has been changed and now we see the events after MGS4. Generally, Rising is a stand-alone project MGS universe and will not be tightly linked to the earlier parts, but some of the old characters will still be present.
